The Total Seton Program

Seton serves students Pre-school through Sixth Grade

Montessori Pre-School Program

• Half-day Classes (9:00-11:30am and 12:45-3:15pm)
• For students ages 3-5
• Certified teacher in Montessori Method
• Curricular focus on life, social, & pre-academic skills

Kindergarten – Grade 6 Program

• Academic Excellence (Standards-based Curriculum: Religion, Reading, Language Arts Math, Science, Social Studies, Computers, Art, Music, Media Skills, & Physical Education)
• Student composite scores on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills generally fall at or above-grade level
• Differentiated Instruction available for talented and gifted students
• Special education services are available for students who have unique learning needs
• Educational Support Services Available through Great Prairie Area Education Agency
• Extra-curricular activities in music and sports are available

Program Overview

• All teaching staff is licensed by the Iowa Board of Examiners
• Self-contained classrooms in Kindergarten through fourth grade
• Departmentalized classrooms in grades 5-6
• Departmentalized science instruction grades 3-6
• Library collection consists of over 4000 books in addition to periodicals (Award winning books include Iowa Children’s Choice, Caldecott, & Coretta Scott King Books)
• Media Center houses 25 Intel Pentium 4 Computers with wireless internet access; computers are available in each classroom as well
• Seton utilizes JMC Instructional technology which allows parents to view student progress online
